sonjack2847 Posted September 6, 2011 Posted September 6, 2011 Frank try worldnomads.com I don`t know how much your premium would be as it is different for each individual. I had a quote for me for 8 months for £380 which I thought was good. Hope this helps
Art2ro Posted September 6, 2011 Posted September 6, 2011 (edited) Only if you have no medical insurance at all including from your home country, because if you do health ins from your home country, they are considered OHI (Other Health Ins) which will have to pay first before your RP medical health ins will! Here's a few sites below you can check out if you are a dual citizen, 13a or 13g visa holder: http://www.philhealth.gov.ph/index.htm http://www.bluecross.com.ph/ http://aetnahealthca...anyprofile.html Edited September 6, 2011 by Art2ro

Art2ro Posted September 7, 2011 Posted September 7, 2011 Health insurance is like comprehensive auto insurance! Your car gets banged up, you get it fixed! You get sick or injured, you get that fixed too! The problem is always where and what insurance to buy! Would be nice if there was a company to cover all foreigners residing in the Philippines on an affordable inexpensive group discount health plan of some sort! Or for some, they do away with health insurance and just pay as you go, self insuring oneself as long as one has a nest egg or high limit credit cards to buy time in paying it off instead of depleting one‘s savings or nest egg! It surely would be a terrible situation if one is penniless after a catastrophic illness or injury even death! Where would one turn to then? I’ve read horrors stories on other forums where the ill or injured would just bite the bullet and just die on their death bed as not to become a financial burden on their loved ones! Usually, if one is still able to travel, their home country is usually the last resort in getting adequate health care if all else fails living in a foreign country! Each to their own decision in how to manage their health and lifestyle! So, always have a backup plan if things doesn’t work out in a 3rd world country! It isn’t always greener on the other side and it’s not always a bed of roses either! Good luck to all of us in this time of this global recession! CebuAndy Posted September 7, 2011 Posted September 7, 2011 Earlier I asked a few insurance companies in PH, and their response was yearly premium at age 50 = US$ 1200 for mid level coverage. This is 2,5 times more than I pay at present in Thailand. Bupa International wanted US$ 2.200 year. Many have recommended Blue cross.
