Art2ro Posted October 23, 2011 Posted October 23, 2011 perhaps those who go after the journalist should go after those who "oppress" the women,my example is those who "clean up davao". (read between the lines) Not much we can do Ed, since the Roman Catholic church doesn't believe in birth control and there are just too many Filipinos that have too much time on their hands with nothing to do, but to make more babies and that does irk a lot of people who are trying to earn a decent living just to survive!
TwoRock Posted October 24, 2011 Posted October 24, 2011 The subject of this thread is the amount of illegitimate children (out of wedlock). The people described in Joe's post stated the use of unsanctioned Roman Catholic birth control methods (condoms etc.), as not proper. Before all that, the Christian stance on sexual relations is abstinence outside of marriage. So, for a person say that birth control is not allowed... but already break the rule of unwed sexual abstinence??? It seems to me, they are just picking the rules they want to obey. Not defending or critcizing any religious beliefs... just voicing an observation.
