Mr Lee Posted November 6, 2011 Posted November 6, 2011 Don't they even have proof readers? Seems in a country where everything is done redundancy , that they must have people to proof read, so how can an unplugged device start a fire, even if it was one that was left turned on? :bash: Unplugged rice cooker starts Lahug fire; 10 houses razed Comar said they suspected a rice cooker, which was left turned on, triggered the blaze. Dave Hounddriver Posted November 6, 2011 Posted November 6, 2011 Could it be that we are supposed to read between the lines? You have 10 houses gutted with 120K pesos damage. That is a squatter's area. It would be bad for the author's health to accuse any local and powerful people of burning out more squatters so he words it in such a way that we can read between the lines and see what is going on. Or it could be lack of a proofreader
