Mr Lee Posted February 11, 2009 Posted February 11, 2009 Gona turn the tables on the World Bank and teach them a lesson! A desperate GMA opens the Nixon-Clinton attack toolbox.Blame WB Yes, what a set of balls she must have, or she is just living in her own little fantasy world and believes whatever her hubby tells her. Why would the world bank lie?
Forum Support Old55 Posted February 11, 2009 Author Forum Support Posted February 11, 2009 (edited) I think its going to get ugly.GMA needs recognition from the new US regime to legitimize her position at home. She also needs to bring home the bacon. Anything to distract from this latest graft debacle. Obama snubbed her.Clinton had no way to avoid a short 30 min meeting with her yesterday. In that meeting GMA failed to get Clinton to add Philippines to Clinton's upcoming Asian visit. She also failed to get any guarantee for the Filipino veteran's payoff. Oh yea there was some money for them in "our" latest $$ bailout fund. :D Suddenly the Philippine Supreme Court asks for the transfer of wrongly convicted Daniel Smith to a Philippines jail ignoring the FVA both countries agreed to. I guess because the First Gentleman suddenly became too ill to attend his hearing they got to find something else to do.GMA's got some more things to think about...Philippine Exprots Plunge 40% Dec 2008 Edited February 11, 2009 by Old55
TheMason Posted February 11, 2009 Posted February 11, 2009 Gona turn the tables on the World Bank and teach them a lesson! A desperate GMA opens the Nixon-Clinton attack toolbox.Blame WB I like the quote from the woman claiming the World Bank is violating the Philippines sovereignty. 'These are loans, not grants.' she says. I guess the WB is interfering with the Philippines sovereign right to Politics in the Philippines is way more entertaining than in the US.
