Mr Lee Posted January 10, 2012 Posted January 10, 2012 Police in a southern Philippine city are investigating the shooting of a Norwegian national by an unknown assailant late yesterday, a police spokesperson today said.Tom Vidar Sydersen, 47, was riding a motorcycle with his Filipina wife in Mabini village, Cabadbaran City in Mindanao's Agusan del Norte province on their way home when fired at by an unidentified assailant around 8:30 p.m., Martin Gamba, regional police spokesperson, said.The victim was able to get off from the vehicle despite sustaining a gunshot wound in the back of the head and ran with his wife to a nearby house where they sought refuge, Gamba said.Sydersen was rushed to a local hospital and is undergoing treatment at a local hospital, police said. The suspect fled on a motorcycle driven by an accomplice, Gamba added."The victim had revealed his sister-in-law had made threats against him.
