hey mike i seen you have a 9800 gt and your right you cant sli that card with your gtx 560 ti BUT you can still use that card as a phyix card you can set that in your nvidia control panel this will help out with some games that use phyix make sure you goto the nvidia website and update your cards drivers too that also helps good luck my friend if you need any advice or help let me know !!!O-U-C

Ahhhhhhh .... another way to go ..... but may put it on hold for a bit as I don't think my PS will handle the additional load ..... need something in the 1000w catigory and they can be a tad bit pricy ...... also need to check out my heat pattern ..... the 9800gt dumps heat directly into my case where the 560Ti exausts out the back ...... and man did it make a difference ... I couldn't believe how much cooler my box ran ..... dropped almost 15c by that little doo-dad .....Thanks for the offer O-U-C ..... I'll keep you advised

Loardblacknail ..... thanks for your kind offer to share but I checked out the game on u-tube and I'm not really into strategy games ..... takes to much thinking and planing .... :541: ...... my poor ol' itsy-bitsy-teeny-weeny brain can't handle all that stuff ..... :mocking: ....... by the way have you noticed all the bugs in Skyrim ..... been stuck twice and had to resort to console cheats to get around them ..... first one was were the skelo landed on the trip for the spiked door and I couldn't get the door to open ...... did everything and finally had to go on-line to find the solution ..... seems there is none except to by pass the trap using a console cheat ...... oh well .... sometimes ya gots to do what ya gots to do ..... :)

well you have a 720w psu thats fine for a 9800 gt as a phyix card for your psu to handle but you are right that that little card does make allot of heat my 8800 gt ran at least 70c a little too much for my liking !!! anyway keep me posted my friend :)O-U-C

I hope I'm right seem to have lost the disks some how ..... hummmmmm .... interesting ..... anyway go on U-tube and take a look at them ...... Recently have been addicted to Battle Star Galactica. If you have any social life at all, do not start this game.also a big fan of Rome total war, Civ V etc.There is also a game i have heard about. an online Tank game. "tank.com" havent checked it out yet though

Hey Scott,I've been playing Steel Beast Pro PE, a modern day tank sim game. The PE (personal edition) from the SteelBeast series is a toned down version of the actual training simulation that the US Army used for their Abrams.I had to put it aside for awhile because the learning curve was a bit steep for me. I mean I don't mind drivingaround, shoot and scoot but I kinda lost my patience in the planning stage. Mapping out my routes, way points,and trying to figure out enemy composition and their route for ambush sites was too time consuming for me.But the graphics is pretty awesome with realistic sounds of track vehicles and sabot rounds whizzing by. What is a retired dixie caper doing playing TANK games ..... I would think Battleship ..... Submarine or Fleet Command and such would be your forte ...... me .... I can't play any game that requires strategy ..... .. I'm a run and gunner or charge and hacker ..... my favorite weapon is the sniper rifle and I will even do a cheat to get one ..... just something about looking down the scope of a .50 cal sniper and picking someone off at 1000 yrds ..... yea .... I know not sporting of me ..... the pest weapon I have used was in Far Cry II ..... it was a dart rifle that for some strange reason had the power and range of a .50 cal ....... god I loved that gun ... just wish I could have incorporated it into all my games ...... it was so silent and deadly ..... but it did need constant maintenance as it would blow up in your hands if you didn't take care of it in the armory ...... ahhhhh .... the memories ..... :dance: :angry:

Hmmm sounds like my first wife's gas problem. Anyway, on the gaming topic. I managed to stay away from Evony for 2 years because I am an addict :angry: . . . I even deleted all my bookmarks so I could forget about it and it worked until someone reminded me of the game and for the last few days I have been glued to my computer chair, and yet most would find it incredibly boring as you build up for days to make one good attack.Anyway, I remember why I quit doing it but looking outside the window, it has been raining where I am for 24 hours straight and when I went out just before that time I got a flat tire on my scooter so I think it is a conspiracy to keep me in the game.

Excellent topic choice. I still play my old pc games like Total Annihilation,Master of Orion[2&3],Stars,Command and Conquer,and just stopped playing an online game called Mankind.Nice to see I'm not the only nerd here :) :angry: Since digital DL is how computer games are going I've stopped buying the games ..unless I can find the hard copy somewhere.It's annoying to me I can't go to the computer store and just buy what I want.I've heard so much about different online companies that have had their data banks hacked and the customers personal information stolen that I'm leery of paying online for things.I'l just stick with my old games for now til they get all that sorted and I feel safer buying online.That Mankind game I played has been online for about 10 yrs now and I played it on and off when time allowed.Recently stopped it because I needed more exercise than distractions..lol :)
