Call me bubba Posted March 6, 2012 Posted March 6, 2012 seems that an American tourist has lost his wallet ,GOOD NEWS IS that its been found, and some honest person turned it in, despite ANY possible temptation to keep the cash and walletBAD NEWS IS the owner Kurt John Trezise has not claimed it.The Makati police is looking for an American tourist who have lost his wallet containing P20,000 and 1,000 Hong Kong dollars cash.Superintendent Jaime Santos, Makati Police acting chief, said they have already tried everything to track down Kurt John Trezise, owner of the money found in a blue wallet.“We have even sent a message to his Facebook account but he has not responded so far,” said Santos.Makati policemen have also asked around the Rockwell area along J.P. Rizal Street for Trezise’s possible address, but nobody has recognized him through a photocopy of his passport.Santos said the passport photocopy along with the P20,000 cash and 1,000 Hong Kong dollars, were found inside the wallet which was found by Ryan Martinez, a resident of P. Noval St. in Sampaloc, along J.P. Rizal Street, at about 6 p.m. last February 21.Martinez then turned-over the wallet to Police Officer 2 Pocholo Pamintuan, a Makati Police traffic officer. Pamintuan then gave the wallet to the Makati police headquarters for safekeeping.Santos said that aside from the cash and the photocopy of the US passport, there were no identification cards inside the wallet. Santos said the wallet could have slipped off Trizise’s pocket or he was a victim of a pickpocket who also dropped it along J.P. Rizal.“The owner of the wallet can look for me at the Makati Police station and we will return it. If the owner will not claim the wallet, we will probably donate the cash to charity,” said Santos.http://www.philstar.com/nation/article.aspx?publicationSubCategoryId=200&articleId=784083

Dave Hounddriver Posted March 6, 2012 Posted March 6, 2012 (edited) My wallet has a driver's license with my address on it. How about the rest of you? One would think it would be easy to find the owner. Another way would be to contact the credit card companies and ask them to notify their customer that the lost card and wallet has been found.Methinks no one is trying too hard.Another thought. When I entered the country I had to fill out a card showing the address I would be staying at. If they have a photocopy of his passport then they could find out that info. Couldn't they? Couldn't they?It says no cards in the wallet, only cash and a copy of passport. Perhaps it was a dummy wallet although a bit much cash or maybe he does not want to be found.

Forum Support Old55 Posted March 6, 2012 Forum Support Posted March 6, 2012 I agree with Jollygoodfellow. It must be a "dummy" wallet because the guy who lost all that cash must feel like a dummy. :cheersty:
