Tukaram (Tim) Posted March 8, 2012 Posted March 8, 2012 Avoid street food? That's a tough one.Seriously though, is there an inoculation for typhoid? Or just prevention techniques like you listed?
Forum Support Old55 Posted March 8, 2012 Author Forum Support Posted March 8, 2012 Typhoid is a type of salmonella, a bacteria that can be treated with antibiotics.Yes, there are vaccines, unfortunately not completely effective. We travel with cripto and know how to dose it (ciprofloxacin) we also always have on hand Pedialyte for the children.http://www.cdc.gov/nczved/divisions/dfbmd/diseases/typhoid_fever/
