Jack Peterson Posted September 6, 2012 Author Posted September 6, 2012 you need a live teacher. IMOH. Parental involvement is a must. whilst we as parents are very involved, we pay the extra 500. for actual tuition, 1000p per month is the virtual and worksheet method, we opted for tutorial on top and this, has been well worth the money. Whilst I was apprehensive to begin with, going to the centre and finding out just what was available, paid big dividends. as I said here earlier, our monster has now got to grips, with her workings on her maths and is doing Fine. By letting her do this she was ready for the entrance exam to the High School of her choice, we as parents are happy and this is what it is all about. She most definitely needed a boost and Kumon gave it to her. JP :tiphat:
i am bob Posted September 6, 2012 Posted September 6, 2012 Another option is, if you live near a Teacher's College, many of the students will tutor for extra cash. Some even do this as their only source of income while in school so you know they are going to do a good job.
