A few days ago, Call me Bubba PM'd me about whether to post another negative opinion of PI.I recommended that we have enough negative discussion here on the forum but what the hell,perhaps this douche bag Jimmy will get slammed eventually. I understand he spent a few yearsin PI and now complaining like a red headed step child. Good thing he departed, otherwise hislife may be in danger. He did get a few things right like the pollution and some of the more aggressive children pickpockets but much of what he said was off base IMO. I think Rama reacted in a useful mature manor its good the ex-mayor is gone.

Jimmy belonged or ran some film making company in Cebu so I would say the video was made for profit rather than expose anything. (I cant find the company name just now but seen it yesterday).Some main points.Skin whitening. Yes but rest of the world try to sun bake or use fake tan or even solarium's to look a certain way, same thing just reversed.Honking horns, beep beep, part of the culture,like it or leave it.Waste of time and packaging including litter, yes is a waste and contributes the the litter problem when wrapping things like gum.Hole in the sidewalk covered by a drum, better than some I've seen not covered at all, poor country has lack of funds to repair so what else can they do?Helpers expecting payment to park a car or get a taxi, I find it annoying too. One night I left a bar where at least 20 taxis lined up, had to fight the mob to get in with all yelling they got me a taxi where they were waiting anyway. Funny thing in the confusion we drive off then I notice a girl in the front seat who got in without me even seeing him/her. Stop the taxi and get out I yelled,not a happy, girl/boy.All the beautiful girls are boys, rubbish.Toilets,certainly not tourist friendly.

I find it interesting that this idiot who found all these things to hate managed to live here for 2.5 years ..... must have been pure hell for the poor little feller ..... can you imagine waking up everyday and thinking god how I hate this place (hummmmmm ... that's what I did the last few years I lived in the states) ..... I guess that none of that stuff can be found in the good old USA ...... well all I can say is he has lived a very sheltered life up to this point then ...... interesting is that the bakla serving him ..... I think that part was totally staged ..... and warm beer ..... he is drinking the damn stuff out doors and has very obviously not traveled to other countries where it is the norm to serve warm beer ..... there was not one damn thing he mentioned that you can find in just about EVERY country in the world .....And we wonder why they hate us so much here ...... duh :hystery:

Jimmy has made some very valid points on his criticism of what he finds "wrong" and he expressed it in via social media venue,So others can be aware of "issues or problems" that he thinks or feels that are "upsetting" or anger him.I have followed this topic for several days, and read the comments that have been made,Of what I have read so far, is that he has said things that others (mostly meaning the Filipino people or residents) would not discuss or bring up to cause a meaningful change.They too are "unhappy" with some of the "( cow patties ) "but they dont think that they can make a change or a difference in the current situation. who knows . ??? what can happen,,Someone who has the "right" connections or power may read this and 1. either have him deported or worse...... OR 2. Realize that they can make small changes or improvements to help not only the local residents and tourists.(simply said , it improves the quality of life)which in turns brings more Tourist spending $$$,DOT , who knows they may be enlighten with this, and may make some changes that was discussed in his media posting :540:Many people on this forum use it as a way to understand.learn ,share our experiences or vent the frustrations that occur in our lives living away from our home country.Let us understand where he(jimmy) is coming from,maybe in our small community we can make small changes to improve the lives of others, to show to others that we just dont complain, :)that we can make a difference Such as Bruce with his medical missions and the small yet important civic contributions :) to OLD 55 for starting this topic, he presented this in a better way than I would have, :hystery:

I think some are making too much out of this, again I say he is in the film industry and whats the best way to be seen? It was removed by himself on youtube and channelfix have the rights to it.

He is right though and he is jst pointing the obvious. The problem with most of us Filipinos is that they don't know how to take criticism and they always take it in a wrong way, instead of using it to improve that undesirable situation. I'm actually glad that he did that and I hope that the high ranking officials will pay attention to that instead of just hiding in their expensive, air-conditioned and tinted cars/SUV. For a country who wants to boost tourism, they need to do some changes. With the tranny part, Thailand have more good looking tranny than Phils., imo. And no, most trannies in the Philippines are not good looking.

I did not get that he is in the film industry that says a lot.After living there so long and not understanding horns are used as a simple for the most part polite signal tells me a lot about the guy.
