nor cal mike Posted October 5, 2012 Posted October 5, 2012 It's nce to know others have loving familys in Philippines. You're so right Old55. We often hear of family discontent, but seldom about the great families so many of us are a part of. VERY REFRESHING. I would sure like to hear from any members who care to share their good family experiences. Come on guys, don't be shy. Makes for very enjoyable reading. ibemarshall Posted October 5, 2012 Posted October 5, 2012 I am part of my wife's great family as well. Sure we have our ups and downs but I can honestly say I am a fortunate guy to be so blessed. As an example, my wife and I have "lent" money (hundreds of $) to her sister a few times and we have actually been repaid back without poking and prodding. In addition, I am blessed because my oldest son is married to a Filipina as well with three young ones in the flock. Need I say more? It has to be encouraging for others reading these posts to know there is another side... Cheers~~

i am bob Posted October 6, 2012 Posted October 6, 2012 I wonder what the ratio is for the number of our wives and girlfriends families that are good as compared to bad... 100 to 1 for the good? It seems that we often only bring out and talk about the negative - and forget that there are is much good out there. :mocking:
Popular Post Jack Peterson Posted October 7, 2012 Author Popular Post Posted October 7, 2012 Well folks, thank you for the Interest shown on this Topic, of course it is very close to my heart, as those who have followed my reasons for being here, ONE year early, will understand, this is a big part of my life just now. my family are as good now, as they were, during the early days of this project We knew it would be a 5 year Plan. My stroke in April, brought me home to see the House built personally. If i may, I would like to continue the Story. and share the Good parts of a Filipino Family. Just hope it will not bore too many of you. My idyllic lot, That has brought a lot of fun and relaxation to the family, is now reduced to a Quagmire of a Building Site. The end result though, will be well worth the sight, I see each day. I know that I posted, anti family involvement on another Topic but the family I have on this project, are professional and it is Not a part time job to them, of course, We had to bargain, the wage bill, Azon did well and secured the labour at 10% discount. The engineer -in- charge is my Brother -in law. (He also drew up the plans based on our Requirement and completed the Bill of Quantities) the 2 I/C and Foreman are both Nephews, 2 of the 4 labourers are also in-laws but not directly (bye marriage to in-Laws) We are on the tail of Week 4, I have posted photos of day one. I will catch up over the next couple of days so l can get to the photos of today with out posting to many Photos, in one go and bore you all, with the holiday Snaps regime. All i can say is that we ( Azon and Trisha Mae are very Happy with the results So far.) and would like to share this with you. I know and can quite understand, if some are not on my wave legnth but after all that happened I am so very thankful for the opportunity, to see the Hard work and our plan come together albeit. One Year early.
