Not all UPS are designed the same. You get what you pay for. In the Philippines with power issues I would recommend the more expensive UPS that support Online/Double Conversion. In this UPS design your equipment is always powered by the battery and the incoming AC only recharges the battery. The inexpensive types of UPS that just switch from AC to Battery don't offer as much protection from low voltage and when switching can cause computers sensitive to short millisecond power losses to reboot.
