Front Teeth Knocked Out

I have failed to really get any answers about the professional " Look " & results on something like this in the P.I. or Cebu so I'm posting.

A friend of mine ( Airborne, Ranger ) Got his teeth knocked out once. He swallowed them and kept with the mission objective. He had screws put into his upper palate to attach the Pretty " Man-made" front teeth.

Any idea if ... A) Do the dentist /doc's there in cebu have this ability ? B) Any idea what this might cost ?

I hope this does not happen to me but getting punched and elbowed /kneed in the face often ...it could. Suggestions ?

Other than not getting them knocked out to start with.

Thanks

p.s. Yes , I have a protective mouth peice professionally made. Expensive but cheap insurance...know what I mean.

I have been doing extensive research on things like this... In other words, I've been reading everything I can find online about the Philippines and have been doing so for several months. And yes, I remember reading about the dental care available. I don't .remember names or locations but I did see several sites advertising that they can do this and much more

What a weird post. So just in case you get your teeth kicked in you are wondering about dental services? Are you a bouncer or studying marshal arts?

Anyway. Yes you can have dental implants done in the Philippines they are about 1/3 -1/2 the price of a US job. I know an experienced Dentest in Cebu that does them regularly and is up on all the latest techniques. The imported hardware and technology is still pricey but the services are much lower. I am assuming of course that that this type of dental surgery is very available in Manila.

Not just Manila, places like Cebu have the same services. Here, take a look at heaps of dentists, a refined search on the left is handy; http://www.whatclinic.com/dentists/philippines

I did not read it that way. The opener mentioned his friend and I have lots of friends from the west who question me about the dental care here. They are all looking for a cheaper way to get their teeth fixed than they can find in the west. I tend to discourage them because I suspect they are looking for Canadian quality and service at Philippine prices. That has not been my experience here.

Doing Implant surgery is not a medical vacation kind of thing. It takes multiple trips to see the Doc over substantial period time. If your friend can take 6 months off to live in CEBU he can get high quality Implants put in for a fraction of US costs.

samatm, Thanks dude.

Yes, I will continue to study MMA ( Mixed Martial arts ) while in Cebu. Just attempting to cover my bases and, Like I am Bob, Wish to be as informed as humanly possible.

From what I have read so far, it seems some people love the price but not the service, others like the price and the service... I guess it's like everywhere else then except the price seems to be better!
