Elsa Posted May 22, 2012 Posted May 22, 2012 We have just been told by BoI that, as of today, no tourist visa extensions will be granted unless the applicant can show an original copy of an onward outbound ticket. There are many people "crying" at the office. The actual details are very sketchy at the moment and we are not sure how it all will work. We will update you when we know more.
Steve & Myrlita Posted May 22, 2012 Posted May 22, 2012 (edited) But is this the national policy or an individual office rule? Remember, nothing is standard here. Edited May 22, 2012 by Steve & Myrlita
MikeB Posted May 22, 2012 Posted May 22, 2012 I read elsewhere that it only applies to those close to the max extensions of 16 or 24 months when you have to leave the country.
Elsa Posted May 22, 2012 Author Posted May 22, 2012 Still much to find out and to see if it's true. The information was given to us by a normally reliable source.
