I don't think the Philippines is dependent on what happens in China.

Its my personal belief that its all about the oil in the Spratleys and how China will split that with Philippines. The articles I have read say there is enough oil there to last for the entire lifetime of everyone now living in the Philippines. The powers that be are spending the money before they have it.
