CebuAndy Posted July 28, 2012 Posted July 28, 2012 Have anyone moved from Thailand to Philippines (Cebu), and what shipping company did you use? I just received a reply from a shipping company in Thailand with their offer: Volume: 6 cbm gross (crated) Estimated Total Charge: THB 96,950.00 = USD 3.044 +VAT 7%: THB 6,786.50 = USD 213 Volume: 8 cbm gross (crated) Estimated Total Charge: THB 117,750.00 = USD 3.698 +VAT 7%: THB 8,242.50 = USD 258 This quotation excludes peak season surcharge, general rate increase, customs inspection, customs duties and taxes, bond or storage charges, demurrage or container detention fees, additional transport/hiring or associated costs. A 20’ container – regardless if there are household electronics not in commercial quantity and for as long as there is no motor vehicle, guns, Php20,000 for duty and tax = USD 476 Needless to say, I was chocked that it cost so much, to send less than 1/4 of a 20 feet container. Any experience in shipping from Thailand to Cebu? Any recommendations of Shipping company in Cebu?
