Papa Carl Posted August 24, 2012 Posted August 24, 2012 Apple Cider Vinegar is not easy to find in the Philippines, there are brand name types like Heinz but I do not believe this is organic. If you buy the Heinz Apple cider vinegar it has been pasteurized I believe, and that is the brand that is mainly available in PureGold and SM. From one of the top sites in regards to ACV I lifted this quote. Look for a slightly brownish liquid as apposed to the clear liquid, if it is "smokey or cloudy" that is even better! "One of the main concerns surrounding non-organic apple cider vinegar is that the heating of the pasteurization destroys the health-enhancing properties of the vinegar. Because of this, the vinegar is said to no longer contain intact enzymes and is not as easy to tolerate by the body." So my suggestion would be before leaving home, I would buy as much Organic ACV as you can, along with natural Blackstrap Molasses. Not sure what they would say at customs when arriving in the Philippines, but it is better than not having access to any once you arrived. As apples do not naturally grow here in the Philippines, it might be hard to find but would love to hear from anyone who can advise differently. Again a trick to this is what you mix with it. Most people don't like the taste of ACV, so they will usually mix the same quanitity of Honey or something like that, to sweeten the taste. Ashanti Posted August 24, 2012 Posted August 24, 2012 Hi Bundy, in a previous life, my ex suffered from very bad arthritis, she had been shuffled around from one Rheumatoid arthritis specialist to another for years and put on one experimental treatment after another. One day a friend of mine suggested having a drink of Apple Cider Vinegar with Honey in the morning, and a drink of Apple Cider Vinegar with Blackstrap Molasses at night, one table spoon of each mixed with some warm water. With in weeks the Rheumatioid was less painful and she had more movement than she had in years. We spoke to her specialist, and after weeks of debate, and testing he suggested that she continue with this "home remedy" as it appeared to be providing better results than all the Gold injections, Steroid injections and everything else she had been taking. It did not repair the damage already done, however it did slow the process and improve other side effects of taking her drugs. Better sleep, better digestion, better complexion, etc. etc. So it does not surprise me. There is a wealth of information out there about Apple Cider Vinegar and Honey, but only a small amount about adding the vinegar to Black Strap Molasses. Go for it, I can't see what you have to lose. And oh by the way, the Apple Cider Vinegar and honey, is suppose to slow the aging process!!!!! Ha Papa Carl Thank you for the informative post ............. i will give it a try as i do suffer from pains in the joints esp with fingers havent consulted a doctor but my self diagnosis i reckon i have arthritis. Luckily, i have stock of a few venigar. I dont seem to recall seeing any molasses in the supermarket - not that i had consciously looking for one but i would certainly keep an eye. Does the molasses comes also in tablets and are they any good?????????? I will start taking the cider from today and after a few weeks i will expect to be young and pretty not fat & ugly! it better worked or ill sue you for mega bucks ................. :hystery:

Could you name this "SUPERMARKET" so that others could go there if they want?
Bundy Posted August 25, 2012 Author Posted August 25, 2012 I have a Canadian guy living next door to me and he's been drinking this stuff for longer than he cares to remember. It is called "BRAGG organic, raw unfiltered apple cider vinegar" and he gets it from the health shop in SM.Well yesterday i saw it i Gaisano Carcar so i got a bottle, along with a bottle of raw honey. The idea is to mix 1 tbsp of the vinegar with an equal amount of honey and fill the glass with drinking water. You drink one glass in the morning and one in the afternoon. I started yesterday..............now if i can get over the vile taste of it i'll continue on with it. Mrs Bundy asked me how old i thought the Canadian guy is and i put it at around early sixties.............wholly geez, was i wrong.I don't know if it's the cider but he sure looks well for his age.
