brock Posted September 12, 2012 Posted September 12, 2012 I was once mauled in Lucky star bar, But I didnt put in a complaint, I was compensated later in the evening :cheersty: could you describe how you was mauled and how you was "compensated "later? just curious :attention: I was jumped on by 4 or 5 girls as I entered the bar, A pretty girl then took me out of the bar for a few drinks and a meal somewhere else, Then she took me back to her Hotel were I stayed the night, She then gave me my Taxi fare home in the morning :)

MikeB Posted September 13, 2012 Author Posted September 13, 2012 Further update: "The lawyer revealed that when he talked to Peniai, the foreign national could not recall the entire thing that happened last Sunday. “He said he forgot everything that happened on that day,” Lastimoso said." .http://www.sunstar.c...nd-relax-242503 Doesn't really bode well for his case against the officers.

Mike S Posted September 16, 2012 Posted September 16, 2012 As usual there are two sides to every story ..... and NOW the truth comes out ..... I for one am glad to see the local residents defending the cops in this case ..... these human rights group only show up when it pleases them or when called by some influential party ..... in the US if you throw stones at a cop you are going to jail and charged with assualt or could be shot ..... well maybe not him because of the media coverage that would take place ...... (trying to be politically correct here) but with others ..... maybe they shouldn't have beat him with a rifle butt but a face full of mace would have been nice when he threw the stones ...... IMHO ......
MikeB Posted September 16, 2012 Author Posted September 16, 2012 "The truth" is probably somewhere in between, I don't doubt that the officers used more force then required but it seems to me the police are between a rock and a hard place in these things. They were called out to deal with a large male who was assaulting bystanders and "running amuck", how do they know what other weapons he may possess? One thing that is not in question is that Mr Peniai caused this situation by assaulting bystanders then the responding police. It's a very minor event, it landed on the front page only because he's a foreigner. He filed a complaint against the 2 officers but did not provide the required affidavit so the officers are stuck in limbo while he goes home on bail. I'm betting he doesn't come back.
cebu rocks Posted September 16, 2012 Posted September 16, 2012 When the Swat team arrives the criminals $h*t there pants here they know those guys mean business . Very well trained and fearless Its said when your a policeman in the Philippines you already have 1 foot in the grave and Swat members say all you have outside of the grave is your head . Again I will say good job boys TCB is what they do

Jollygoodfellow Posted September 17, 2012 Posted September 17, 2012 I don't doubt that the officers used more force then required but it seems to me the police are between a rock and a hard place Exactly what the story was about, being between the rocks being thrown and the media.
