Why A Filipina?

i was reading lots of your blogs here, but one thing that I really am curious about why marry a Filipina considering that the Filipino culture is way too complicated to live with... I am a Filipina (I am proud to be one - hmmmn, I am just saying this because it is expected of me, I guess, LOL!)...

Some Foreigners look to Philippines for a wife because many Filipinas have traditional values unlike women in the west. Most Filipinas simply want to partner with a husband in a permanent monogamous relationship for life. That is a sweeping generalization but in many cases true. Filipino culture is somewhat different than what most Foreigner men are used to but not nearly as different than in other country's.

On the other hand a small number of Foreigners are just interested in exploiting young attractive economically disadvantaged women.

Actually, my Filipina is over protective and very jealous, in short she is very loyal to me.

The wife I had in the states could have cared less what I did.

From what I've come to know, the Philippines is the land for the mature secure foreign gentleman. There isn't any other place on earth that I'm aware of that has 18 year old ladies prefering mature gents over young lads. Even Thailand has a less of an age gap. When asked if I know any eligible guys, I can only refer young guys and the young Filipinas are not interested. We all know that true beauty comes from within but in the Philippines you can have that and outer beauty too with a girl easily less than half our age. I'm not going to complain and as long as I live in the Philippines with my Filipina, our relationship with be held in high regard, something that may not be the case back in the western world.

Well for me I had been married before but had never found a woman who treats me the way my asawa treats me ..... she puts me before herself (which sometimes I don't like) and tends to just about my every want and whim .... she never gets mad ..... pouts .... bitches or nags and is the best partner I could ever have found ..... we never have cross words or fight and very few if any differences of onion ..... I just enjoy being with her and never get tired of her being with me almost 24/7 (she does go out shopping by herself when I don't want to go) ..... she is extremely intelligent and speaks excellent English and so we talk all the time except when I am on the computer or she is reading .... in just about all areas she is far superior to me ... than any western women ..... IMHO ..... there are other things she is superior in but those are of a personal nature ..... :thumbsup: .... :cheersty:

lol julia i keep asking myself the same question ,like why i flew 8000 miles to the other side of the world .well where do i start well i needed to get away as far as possible from my ex you would understand why if you lived with a western woman long enough lol.we men are like little boys who liked to be mothered and looked after hahaha although guys here would,nt dare to admit that fact .the fact is asian women know how to look after us males real good unlike your western counterparts.I find you ladies warm ,friendly loyal obedient ( I like that one ) lol sometimes lack of humour but i can deal with that .but what i can,t deal with is the jealousy trait .thats the only downside of my g f she can,t bare to leave me alone in the mall ( I wonder why ) :D so much candy around i guess but i can understand a little but it does get me down that she does,nt trust me .she says she trust me 100 % its other philippina,s i don,t trust ,maybe she has a point .I could have stayed in uk and gone for single philippina in uk but they become westernised too and there lies the danger ,anyway she is the best thing thats happened to me 2 years and not had an argument not bad eh lol she also returns the compliment to me saying ive changed her life 100 % at 38 she thought she was doomed to being single and unloved for the rest of her life so that makes me happy too ,have a nice day :tiphat:

Sounds as though you have found what I have almost given up hope of finding. Good for you.

So many different but similar answers... And for a good reason!

I myself am retired from the Air Force here in Canada. Since then I have been living a very boring life. It has always been a dream of mine to move to what I consider a "Tropical Paradise" and the Philippines fits this perfectly for me! Though I still haven't made the move yet (soon!), I decided to - as so many people told me I should - the online dating sites. This would supposedly help me find the rest of all that was missing in my life. At the same time, I thought that I would do what I thought better - find a pen pal who I could just talk to and discover the Philippines from someone who knows it best. So I became pen pals with a young lady in the Philippines who became (to me) better than any of the women I found on the dating sites. And, a silly little thing, that I find her more beautiful than any woman I have ever seen! Complicated? Not compared to my ex though all women are complicated to men.... Is it because the country is complicated? Only as in we are not familiar with life as it is there.... A little time and experience will help with this. Complicated as we write in our posts? Only in the sense that we are so totally amazed at how more perfect in every sense that Filipinas are compared to what was ingrained in our heads before that sometimes we just don't understand and are waiting for someone to jump out and shout "Surprise"! So to us, yes, it may be complicated... Because life isn't supposed to be this good!
