Jake Posted September 22, 2012 Posted September 22, 2012 With my 2nd cup of coffeeee (with Kahlua), I found this mixed real and simulated dog fight between a Falcon F-15 and a Soviet SU-27, both of which are superb fighter interceptors: It's about 4.5 minutes long but it certainly got me all wet and bothered......he, he. You air force pukes really made my day! Respectfully -- Jake (Navy puke)
FlyAway Posted September 22, 2012 Posted September 22, 2012 (edited) Nice editing & graphics. Lots of work went into that video. I used to work with Softimage and that video brought back memories of lighting, camera placement and the time consuming rendering. My avatar is a Softimage generated model I drew. Years ago made a much more simpler video of it in a chase with an FA-18. Edited September 22, 2012 by FlyAway
Beachboy Posted September 22, 2012 Posted September 22, 2012 (edited) Flying in a real one has always been on my bucket list: http://www.flymigsok...robatics-flight (I don't know why .. I hate roller-coasters!) They claim 65 yr.olds have flown before. ("Is this dangerous? Yes. But so is crossing the street and driving to the airport. You will be required to sign a release of liability. We use the best planes and the best pilots and your safety is our biggest concern.") Right --it must be a real pain pulling the dead guys out of the cockpit .. haha. You can't fly the Flanker, but they offer the Mig 29, which is not exactly a Piper Cub. Mach 1.9 up to the edge of space (70,000 ft), 30 min flight, a lot of "fun" acrobatics on the way down -- All for about $20,000 (hey, you got to pay for the gas!) I think I'll go to the gym and start working out .. :cheersty: Edited September 22, 2012 by Beachboy

And besides that, my balls are already glowing in the dark from all the RF exposure working on high powered radars and other microwave transmitters......he, he. Americano Posted September 23, 2012 Posted September 23, 2012 (edited) Thanks for the video Jake. I really enjoyed watching it. It reminded me of the movie Behind Enemy Lines where the F-14 Tomcat was trying to avoid getting hit by a couple of SAMS, Surface to Air Missiles. In that movie you can see and heard the high speed of the jet and the missiles as they go screaming by. Behind Enemy Lines is one of my favorite moves. I have it in my DVD collection and I recommend it to everyone who likes this video. It has very good acting and special effects and its based on a true story. Lets see, Jake gets a regular peepee whacking and his balls glow in the dark. How do you take so much pain? Was that part of your Navy training? Lets see, Jake gets a regular peepee whacking and his balls glow in the dark. How do you take so much pain? Was that part of your Navy training? Speaking of whackin' and navy training (do you see how I try to remain relevant....he, he), the cardinal rule during my early days in the fleet navy was NOT to get caught whackin' off. Nearly impossible when you're nuts to butts with every swinging d_ick. Talk about all the funky smell.......he, he. However, if you get up to the ranks of old salty chief petty officers -- we simply didn't care anymore. This is a no chitter story: my best friend and fellow chief sleeping beneath me (I had the top rack) decided one night to use one of my socks. The only way I knew that was putting on my socks and boondocks as I ran up to the bridge, already late for watch. For 5 hours straight, with each and every step, my left foot felt the moist, sticky sensation. But like a good sailor, I got him back......he, he.
