Just found this little piece, as you can see a Student visa is just that

study visa or work visa respectively.

Philippines Visas to study

Philippines study visas are issued for the duration of the course in question and applications must progress through a series of steps.

In the first instance, applicants must secure a place from a school, college, university or other place of study.

If successful, candidates will be issued with a Notice of Acceptance (NOA) from their sponsoring educational institution.

This notice must be submitted as part of the study visa application itself along with a range of supporting documentation including:

  • A current and valid passport,
  • Police check,
  • Evidence of the candidate's education to date and,
  • A demonstration of the client's ability to fund their entire stay in the Philippines.

i have included a link for the Source, Hope it helps a little.

The top colleges and universities in the Philippines are accredited by international accrediting agencies recognized by the education departments & ministries of different governments. The agencies certify as to the quality of education or training offered by institutions of higher education. The diploma or credits earned are recognized by other institutes of learning. If you look at their website or brochure, the accreditation agency's name and logo will be included somewhere.

Sorry to disappoint you, the OP is UK based and im afraid UK DOES NOT accept PI Unis qualifications no matter how long their touted accreditation is, except 2-3x Unis. However, even then, not all degrees are accepted.

I have just retired, from one of the largest Accountancy Companies in the world. ALL our Filipino CPAs had to resit a final year or Sit an ACA exam, to obtain the certification they need to apply for Charter training. In our branch we had 7 qualified (Filipino Accountants. CPAs) they were good enough to pursue the next Step but the Diplomas/ Degrees were just not accepted. so all had to resit. only 2 made it unfortunately. That was a shame, as they were very bright Young Accountants. But only in the Philippines.
