ibemarshall Posted October 5, 2012 Posted October 5, 2012 ...Sandwich Spread???? From the Sun-Star - Friday, October 5, 2012 MANILA, Philippines - Six suspected hijackers were killed in a shootout with policemen in Dasmariñas, Cavite early Friday. Police reports said they spotted the four alleged hijackers - three on board a Mitsubishi Adventure and one driving an Isuzu van filled with sandwich spread in Barangay San Agustin 3. According to Cavite provincial director John Bulalacao that they have been eyeing the group because of the series of hijacking incidents of the delivery trucks in Cavite. The authorities tried to flag down the group but the group fired shots. Four suspects were eventually killed after the said chase. Police said two of the suspects were identified as Jonjie Lianco and Robert Santos - both wearing in police uniforms. The police director said he will still have to verify if the two slain suspects were policemen. However, Bulalacao noted that the IDs of the two suspects seemed to be original and their guns bore the Philippine National Police's (PNP) seal. Meanwhile, in a follow-up police operation, authorities located a warehouse in Mahogany Street, Langkaan 2, Dasmariñas, Cavite, where two alleged hijackers were killed. Police found, in the said warehouse, boxes of sandwich spread. Bulalacao also suspects that the third suspect, who has yet to be identified, was also a policeman after a gun with a PNP seal was recovered from him. The fourth suspect was identified as Jesse Gonzales Villanueva. Bulalacao suspects the six slain suspects belong to a single group. Cavite police added that there have been four incidents of hijacking in the province in the past two months where some P3 million worth of goods were stolen. http://www.sunstar.com.ph/breaking-news/2012/10/05/6-hijackers-cavite-killed-246509

Call me bubba Posted October 6, 2012 Posted October 6, 2012 update on this story seems that 2 of the "hijackers" that was killed was active police officers..hummm? or was bystanders killed in the cross fire? Two Manila policemen were among six suspected hijackers killed in a shootout with authorities in Cavite early Friday morning, the provincial police chief said. Identification cards recovered from their bodies indicated that Police Officer 2 Robert Sison and PO1 Jonjie Jun Sayuman Liangco were assigned to Manila Police Station 10. Liangco was reportedly wearing his uniform when killed. The four other fatalities remain unidentified. Senior Superintendent John Bulalacao said the Dasmariñas police received information past midnight that the suspects were supposed to pick up P1.9 million in goods from a Magnolia truck they hijacked in the city last Oct. 2. The loot was taken from a safe house on Barangay Lankaan 2 at around 1 a.m. and loaded onto a truck. After which, the suspects fled in a Mitsubishi Adventure. Police caught up with them in Barangay San Agustin 3, where the gunfight occurred. Recovered from the site were a K9 submachine gun, two 9mm pistols, a caliber .45 pistol and two caliber .38 revolvers. http://www.tribune.net.ph/index.php/nation/item/5274-2-manila-lawmen-among-6-hijack-suspects-killed-in-cavite-shootout
