Call me bubba Posted October 18, 2012 Posted October 18, 2012 this is a 1st, that 2 women was "fugitives" wonder how they got caught? :hystery: Two US women fugitives fall in Cebu OCTOBER 16, 2012 Agents of the Bureau of Immigration (BI) arrested two American women wanted on a string of criminal fraud charges in the US. Immigration Commissioner Ricardo David Jr. said Lucretia Beth Brown, 45, and Andrea Jaine London, 51, are now detained at the BI jail in Bicutan, Taguig following their arrest last Oct. 9 in Cebu City by operatives from the agency’s fugitive search unit (FSU). David said the women will be deported to the US where they are wanted to stand trial before a US district court in eastern Texas which earlier issued warrants for their arrest. Both of them were charged with conspiring to conceal records, make false statements and not report multiple sales of a company where they had previously worked. from another article, guess they just didnt live well enough in "isolation" as they appeared to be caught The fugitives, who reportedly wanted to live in isolation, were arrested on October 9 in their apparent hideout in Cebu - a house located in a newly-built mountaintop subdivision, which is sparsely populated and far from the city. http://immigration.gov.ph/index.php?option=com_content&task=blogcategory&id=1&Itemid=78 http://www.sunstar.com.ph/breaking-news/2012/10/17/2-american-fugitives-detained-taguig-248450 http://www.manilatimes.net/index.php/news/regions/33343-immigration-apprehends-2-female-fugitives-in-cebu
Dave Hounddriver Posted October 18, 2012 Posted October 18, 2012 I was trying to figure out why such petty crimes put these females on the top of America's Most Wanted to the point where local BI officials would even care. I suspect that this was an important part of the story: it appears that the women were employed by a gun store Perhaps that means that their crime was now federal instead of state? i am bob Posted October 18, 2012 Posted October 18, 2012 When I read that article a few days ago, I did a little looking then to find out what they had done. Apparently rumour has it that they were suspected of supplying "terrorist groups" with guns and ammunition and fudged the paperwork to hide their trail. FlyAway Posted October 18, 2012 Posted October 18, 2012 When I read that article a few days ago, I did a little looking then to find out what they had done. Apparently rumour has it that they were suspected of supplying "terrorist groups" with guns and ammunition and fudged the paperwork to hide their trail. That would definitely put you on the US list of priority people to catch up with.
