Helen of Troy was certainly worth it but she smells like kind-of funky down there -- strongly recommend

using a Trojan......he, he.

You know, my last ten years in the US Navy was studying and applying naval tactics. As Mike S mentioned

above, the use of deception (the Trojan Horse) should always be utilized in all your battle plans. During WWII

for example, the Brits staged a massive air drop using paradummies prior to the invasion of Normandy. That

was really cool!

When I was ordered to attend a highly classified tactical training course, I failed the final exam. The exam

consist of a large maneuvering board to indicate where I would position all my ships if I was the fleet admiral

of a battle group. I got suckered into using most of my destroyers to hunt down an enemy submarine off my

port bow. By the time we determined it was a sonobuoy emitting fake noises of a submarine, my rear end

was exposed to a trailing submarine, sinking my Nimitz class carrier within 30 minutes into the battle.

Check out this link regarding a Chinese submarine popping up in close proximity of a USS KITTY HAWK in

NOV 2007: http://www.dailymail...-red-faced.html. However, my theory is the US Navy allowed it to occur.

We may have already detected their presence but did not reveal our secret methods.

Deception can work both ways.

Ah Jake, those were the fun days, eh? Being ex-Air Force but spending most of my career working Naval Air, we used to spend a lot of time working on ways to win our exercises with different countries. One of my favorites was learning how to spoof the sonar of the opposing forces... I'll never forget this one "Open" exercise we had where we had half the Opposing Fleet chasing after our "submarine" - which was being dipped from a SeaKing helo. Dip and run... Dip and run... We then walked in and won the exercise with our antique destroyers.... Of course the old man of the ship wasn't sure what was going on (we never told him - it's called Plausible Deniability) but the Eval Team were sure peeved when we finally told them - in port over a couple beers of course. Only for exercise purposes naturally!

:mocking:

massive air drop using paradummies

Well that was a mistake if they were trying to emulate the Trojan Horse strategy. Everyone knows the Trojan Horse was not full or Airmen. The horse was full of seamen.
