Jollygoodfellow Posted November 19, 2012 Posted November 19, 2012 I don't have Phil Health yet so they paid nothing. A clerk at the hospital said we had to start on Jan 1 with Phil health and that they would not cover us until then. I did not confirm that with anyone so just passing on what was said and that is what I intend to do. A friend of mines baby is due on Christmas day, she said you have to be in Phil Health 10 months prior to birth for them to pay which makes sense to me. Congrats Dave and Dona :tiphat:

i am bob Posted November 19, 2012 Posted November 19, 2012 You know the real fun part? 20 years or so from now you will be sitting there looking your kids and thinking "Weren't they just born a year or two ago?" This usually takes place while you are also chuckling as your child is panicking over the birth of their own child!
Popular Post Dave Hounddriver Posted November 19, 2012 Author Popular Post Posted November 19, 2012 20 years or so from now you will be sitting there looking your kids and thinking "Weren't they just born a year or two ago?" Are you suggesting that I will have Alzheimers when I'm 77? Hmm wait a minute. Didn't I just say that. Who are you again? Where are my glasses . . oh there they are, on my nose.

Yes your correct here is the info from Philhealth regarding coverage ( i will also post in the philhealth topic shortly) For one to become eligible for the benefits, payment of at least three (3) months within the immediate six (6) months prior to the month of confinement shall be required. However, payment of at least nine months within the last 12 months shall be asked of Individually Paying Members availing of the following procedures/packages: • Pregnancy-related cases • Dialysis (except those undergoing emergency dialysis service during confinement) • Chemotherapy • Cataract Extraction • Radiotherapy • Selected surgical procedures Individually Paying Members and Employed Members will now be required to have at least nine (9) months contributions within twelve (12) months prior to the month of availment for all confinements including availment of outpatient benefits). http://www.philhealth.gov.ph/members/individually_paying/faqs.html

As you may know Dave, it's all uphill from here. I have 4 teenagers with cavernous appetite for all things, especially from their favorite ATM machine -- me. Like I said in my previous comments, I would pay someone a million bucks if I could go back to the diaper stage.....he, he. That may well be possible but I was thinking more along the lines of how it seems like yesterday they were little and today they are grown up and getting married. I still check the prices of diapers for my boys when I"m shopping and one of them has made me the grandpa of 2!
