Americano Posted December 29, 2012 Posted December 29, 2012 They brag about all the foreigners they have deported but I would rather hear about all the BI corrupt officials they fired or convected ..... now that would be something to brag about ...... :hystery: :hystery: ..... even when they do find ONE they just transfer him/her to another branch of the government and keep on keeping on .... :cheersty: In the news just a few months ago BI announced 30 something BI employees who were fired recently and how many of those were already prosecuted and also told how many were put on leave without pay, But they didn't say were they were located or give any names. Well, I still see the same faces at Immigration in Mandaue so evidently none lost their jobs there. Makes me wonder if the story is true. Maybe you can find the News story by doing a search for fired or prosecuted Immigration employees. Here's an interesting news story about some Immigration officials allowing fugitives to leave the Philippines. http://manilastandardtoday.com/2012/08/31/palace-orders-immigration-officers-fired/
i am bob Posted December 30, 2012 Posted December 30, 2012 Here ya go bob. I had to search way back to 2001 but there was one. Canadian deported for fraud Updated October 5, 2001 - 12:00am Everything in that article sounds like the man was an American except for the second word. He might as well have been American - he was from Toronto. Scarborough in fact.... Wait a sec, isn't that the home of one of our members? :mocking: (it's kind of like a national pastime here - tease the guys from Toronto and vice-versa). Turns out this guy married his Filipino girlfriend and brought her to Canada but he also turned back to crime to do so. He was printing fake bus tickets and selling them. The Toronto Transit Commission figured he got a quarter mil $ doing this. The one thing that made me laugh was he compared the Don Jail (Toronto's infamous hell hole jail built around the 1865 and older than the country of Canada. Only used to hold prisoners up to their trial times.) to the Philippine jails - and he preferred the Philippine jails!

Americano Posted January 2, 2013 Posted January 2, 2013 Sounds like Canadians are good at following the leader and are afraid of getting out of line. Us Americans are a rebellious bunch but evidently not as rebellious as the Chinese in Taiwan and China.
