Popular Post Mike S Posted January 6, 2013 Popular Post Posted January 6, 2013 Wow ...... so many great posts lately and so little time to answer them and get involved ... well as you have seen there are a myriad of answers depending on our individual tastes in women .... each one of us is different ..... with me my asawa was 36 and I was 61 .... I have my reasons and desires for choosing someone of that age ..... I moved to the Phils 2 months after I turned 62 she was then 37 ..... everything worked then and it still works now in our relationship ..... at first it was a bit hard for me to get used to being pampered and spoiled but I have gotten used to it .... she gives so much and only asks in return that I love her and take care of her .... which I do with never a thought of cheating on her for any reason ..... no matter what the temptation .... there is no way under gods green earth I would risk the thought of loosing her ..... am I P whipped .... not in the least .... I just love and respect her that much ..... and she does the same for me ..... I have heard time and again about how some guys just have to have their foreign friends but to me she is my best friend and I really don't need anyone else to fill any voids .... we do everything together .... she helps me work on the car and wood working and I teach her about computers ..... we do have our quiet times where she reads and I play computer games and post on the boards ..... Some may ask .... how in the hell do you do that and why would you ..... simple we enjoy each others company and we communicate together exceptionally well ...... and I can honestly say that in the 7 years we have know each other (married 5) she has never ONCE given me any reason to doubt or mistrust her ..... nor I her ..... does the fact she is an older lady have anything to do with it ..... I don't know nor do I care ..... we are right for each other So just what is the point of my nonsensical blubbering ..... just this ..... they are out there .... you just have to find them (by the way we first met on Filipina Heart an internet meeting site) no matter what the age if you have a true heart and not desperate or not out to play games like some guys or just out to get in their pants you will find someone for you ...... it took me almost 5 years of internet chatting to find mine ..... ...... :cheersty: .......... Jake Posted January 6, 2013 Posted January 6, 2013 Mike, I think your post should be mandatory reading for anybody thinking of dating any Filipina... Heck, for anybody thinking of dating! My nomination for BEST POST EVER! I just can't believe our resident grunt (US Marine) can be so emotional, kind and forgiving. However, I don't believe Mike S's statement that he is not P whipped. Now he's on another adventure on an another island paradise. Seems like Mike S is enjoying back to back honeymoons! He gives a whole new meaning of adapt, improvise and overcome like a good Marine. Well done my friend -- Jake

Popular Post GregZ Posted January 7, 2013 Popular Post Posted January 7, 2013 (edited) ... So, the 18 to 30 group. ... but I've had good and serious conversations with a few. I'm honest with them and they seem accepting of me. What do you think guys ? Am I kidding myself ? At 57 I married a 19 year old. 6 plus years later we have 2kids and are still happily married. Sooooo. Go for it! .... my Special Someone will be in her 20s (as in 20) by then... ... I'm only going to be 55 ... ... my Special Someone was only suppose to be a pen pal - mostly because of her age. *I RESEMBLE THIS REMARK* I have often said that I thought she was too young for me. But time changed my mind when I realized that she was probably more honest, mature AND also exactly the woman I not only wanted but dreamed of finding. Regardless if she was older, younger, or even the same age as I am, she would still be the one I want to be with for the rest of my life... :-kiss: :mocking: I am 69, my wife is 35. We have been married 12 years now, have a 4 yr. old son, planning to have another child this year and I could not be happier. I had the same concerns as you and most other guys our age, but in my case my concerns were quickly put to rest by the loving, caring and loyal nature of my wonderful Filipina wife. I don't think you're kidding yourself at all. I second Bil Brock's statement, "GO FOR IT" Damn, I'm 48 and my girlfriend is 24.... she seems old in comparison! ha ha Oh... and go for it! Couple aged 50/20 here... You can see from these examples that sometimes it does work. I started talking to my girl (19 then) after 1 month of hounding by my friend and his Filipina wife (her aunt). I finally said, "FINE, I'll talk to her." NOT only did I think that she was way too young and pretty (pretty was actually a big NEGATIVE to me as someone soooo beautiful on the outside can't be good on the inside was my stereotype); along with a long list of reservations I NEVER wanted a relationship with a woman again because of past experience. It only took 3 months and I was hopelessly and forever in love with Miss Taring! I moved to the Philippines in April 2012 to be with her until the visa is approved... A long story makes it October 2013 before we move to the USA, at least for a few years. Point being, I AM GLAD I came with the ability to stay because I NEVER want to do internet chat with her again... SOOOOO much better in person. I cannot say it better than i am bob: "I realized that she was probably more honest, mature AND also exactly the woman I not only wanted but dreamed of finding. Regardless if she was older, younger, or even the same age as I am, she would still be the one I want to be with for the rest of my life... :-kiss: :mocking:" HE even got the smileys right!!! Popular Post ibemarshall Posted January 7, 2013 Popular Post Posted January 7, 2013 One example after another....it is heartwarming to be sure! I have a friend who actually penned a published magazine article in regards to the lead up to his successful Filipina marriage + child relationship as well as their experiences surrounding it all, before and after. It is a great read. As a result of the article he was featured twice on the largest public radio station here in Southern California. I will start a new topic and provide the links etc. so anyone interested can follow along.
Popular Post stevewool Posted January 7, 2013 Popular Post Posted January 7, 2013 dont know about any other places in the world but you still get the sniggers and the looks of digust when you talk about your girlfriend or wife, did you buy her ,are you sure she is not a man, how old, baby snatcher, and best of all, a thai bride, but little do they know and it soon shuts them up once they have seen her that is the ones that you want to show her of too, some people you will never change how they look at life, sad some are jealous,i still get when are you going back to thailand , even though i have never been there, those people i just ignore and smile to myself when i see there happy wife and there happy life together, hey ho life just gets better
