For Cabenan, however, church leaders are partly to blame. "They tell you to go forth and multiply, but now when you ask for help, they just pass you by," she said.

The biblical quote is "be fruitful and multiply"; made many centuries ago when there were far less people on earth. When I read what this woman had said I thought, no way; they cannot be preaching that. Then I read this:

thanks MIKE B for this"interesting "story,

I too could not believe that he had said that,

WITH the celebration of the feast of the Sto. Niño yesterday, Cebu Archbishop Jose Palma encouraged couples who want to have more children to do so, even with the recent passage of the Reproductive Health (RH) Law.

In his homily in the Pontifical Mass for the feast of the Sto. Niño yesterday, Palma reminded churchgoers that children, like Cebu’s patron, are considered as objects of love that create joy wherever they are.

In reference to the RH Law, Palma said that even if President Benigno Aquino III passed the law, couples should not be afraid if they want more children.

Even with the passage of the RH Law, those who want to have children,

not just one, not two but three or four, should put their trust in the Lord,” he added. :hystery: .. :hystery: .. :hystery: .. :hystery:.. :hystery:

Palma said he is sure that many couples have more than one child and live happy lives together.

He said he was glad that the Philippines remains to be family oriented, even though some countries are promoting a one-child policy.

this is just part of his "statement" the rest as it was "political"

he makes a comments that  seems he must been drinking too much"Holy water" or been sm(T)oking

when you read the comments,(to the posted story)

it really makes GOOD reading and insight (perhaps) into the average flipino who uses the net
