One early idea is a template which Philippine Basic Needs could use to send personalized "Thank You" cards to rice donors. In my case, I would then send the card to relatives and friends as a way to solicit donations. Unfortunately, there are so many requests, probably everyone will ignore my asking for one sack of rice. As the younger generation says, "You need to go viral." There will be a follow-up topic

Apologies for the second page in the Pdf attachment. I am neither a designer nor computer specialist. I failed to remove it.

Damn Bubba! I likes the way you think! Sounds like a new way to spread the word..... Shows a positive result for in a personal way for a donation.

Thanks Mark for helping. I was careless.

My two sons are natural with computers. As children, they took apart an early Apple computer we had purchased for the family. It progressed to building their computers by buying parts. The assembly was on the living room and I would end up stepping on small transistors embedded on the carpet. Anytime I requested for assistance, it was the rolling eyes and the facial expression signifying, "It's so simple any idiot should know what to do." I am literate when it comes to reading and writing, but techno illiterate. Everyone in the family smiles when they see my clam shell mobile phone.

Well just remember to tell them that they are not in the WILL and all they are getting is a 'bucket to piss in' when you die...

This REALLY happend to me! My aunt, father's sister, was a very negative person and while always treated me well, she did upon occasion mention that she was sorry, but when she dies, all I was getting was a 'bucket to piss in'. This started as I was very young and as I grew up, all I expected was that bucket. So there was no let down for me when she did die in 2003 and left the bulk of her estate to my female cousins.

She left 10% or so to be divided 4 ways between the male nephews (she had no kids). No big deal for us as we are all self supporting adults.... My female cousins... well they do not have to work so much if they did not want to.

The reality is our two sons are pretty good and probably richer than their parents. When they learned my wife and I plan to sell our condo and become semi-nomadic when we retire, the older one purchased a three-bedroom home in La Jolla with one bedroom for our use. He is closing escrow end of this month. The younger one changed his purchase from one to two bedroom at a new high-rise development in Honolulu. We can use the "spare" bedroom. The building will be completed in 2015. I guess both of them equate our semi-nomadic lifestyle as the equivalent of being homeless. Technically this is accurate.

What they don't like is their Dad refusing to learn about computers and cellular phones. I joined Facebook only two weeks ago, No one is permitted to join. It's the same in the Philippines. I don't know how to text message. It drives everyone insane because I will telephone in response if anyone sends me a message. I also keep me cellular phone off so no one can call.

I think what you need for ease of use in a telephone is a Blackberry. The keyboard is similar to that on your computer - just much much much smaller. Use your thumbs rather than all your fingers. Just select text, select who you want to message, type your message and then hit send. Messenger is fun... That is where U learn 2 type like this... hehe! Seriously, it's about as hard as making a PB&J sandwich on Rye.
