Short trips add up after many round and around the TV circles.   :hystery:

Good describing.

How much litter there is might depend on where you live and differences between regions or big city/small provincial city/rural.

I suppose much depending of the province/barangay leader. In one barangay bordering the next province it's seldom any junk except a litle in the center, and almost never any dogs running around at public road, while at the other side of the border it's kind of opposite. It kind of seem the dogs know where the border is          Similar in their schools, to the good one it's a long queue of teachers wanting to come there, while a good teacher got work fast at the other side.

There is one traffic light in the city but I have never seen it turned on. Seems the locals just ignored it so they turned it off. During periods of heavier traffic unarmed traffic officers will direct traffic at busy intersections.

How can he do it without arms???

:hystery:    Sorry. Perhaps not funny in English, but in Swenglish.

I go through a security checkpoint on my morning ride and the guards generally smile and say good morning. Sometimes other random people on the side of road will say good morning and smile. I am probably becoming known as the kano on the red bicycle.

Perhaps they find it funny, and you are known as the crazy kano, who move volontaringly?   :hystery:

But I plan to do similar as you where I will live anyway, but biking more in nice nature.

OFF TOPIC

yet related to you&personal safety,

have you considered to stop off at a few places to make "friends" just so that someone would know who you are

in case of an accident or injury?

do you carry some extra"cash" or papers(English/Tagalog/) that identify who you are? just in case,

i post this as i recall some member was in a serious accident. and he was lucky that he had insurance(and a good credit card). luckily he was not unconscious, had he been.. would his outcome been the same?

perhaps other members can share how to "keep yourself safe& alive while doing the daily routine"?

I do carry a color copy of my passport id page in a throw away wallet. I do carry my old clamshell phone which is not password protected so someone could call or SMS my gf. I do carry some cash, I never leave the apt without some cash.

When I move to Baguio early next month I will create a medical contact card which I will put in my wallet. So if anything happens someone could find that card and call my doctor/hospital/ambulance service using my phone. Also put those phone numbers in my contact list on the phone.
