i am bob Posted March 19, 2013 Posted March 19, 2013 Many university students face the same issue - how can they pay their tuition? My Special Someone comes from a smaller family where her father passed away a few years ago. Luckily she is one of the younger family members but still not everyone in the family is able to work. Her mother works and tries to have enough for my SS to go to school on but sometimes she has to help the others too. I few months back I got an email from my SS when she mentioned that she may have to miss a term at school - it just wasn't in the budget. So, for the little bit it costs, I paid her tuition and, unknown to her, I will pay for her last year's tuition and books as well. (Before somebody goes and says that she is using me, AT NO TIME DID SHE EVER ASK FOR THIS!) One of the things that did shock me was when I looked to see how much my Special Someone will make once she starts work. A Special Education Teacher will make on average P14,000 a month (one salary site listed P12,600 as average). So if this is what the average SpEd Teacher makes, if they could have student loans that needed to be paid back, how many years would they have to work for free?
