I live in Iloilo where there are lots of docs.  I try to go to a doctor who got their medical training at the UP School of Medicine or University of Santo Tomas, probably the two best medical schools in the Philippines.   It's not so easy to get into these two schools so, at least a graduate is not a dummie and has a decent education. Of course there are many good docs who went to other medical schools, but how to find them?  This is not perfect, but better than random.  How do I find out who went to these schools?  If you find one UP doc, they will know who else graduated from UP medical school in your city.

I have asked a few doctors I have met and not many are enthusiastic about having their practice on the web. Not real clear why, but some have said they didn't want to be "sponsored" by a pharmaceutical company.

The old question... Do I want to practice medicine without Big Brother telling me what to do? Or can I be rich? Tough question but kudos from the many of us to those who tell Big Brother to take a hike!

thought i would refresh this as its important that we have access to find a good quality doctor,

I have used this site to find what medicines are available compared to the 1st world type
