One of the women who died in the limousine fire in the San Francisco Bay Area has been identified by her sister as 31-year-old Neriza Fojas — a registered nurse at the Community Regional Medical Center in Fresno. As you can see in the 9 pics below, she was a beautiful woman.

Late Saturday, five women died when a limo heading to a bridal shower burst into flames on the San Mateo Bridge. The five victims died inside while the driver and four other women escaped.

Neriza Fojas was the bride for whom the party was being held. She recently married and had planned to return to her native Philippines for another ceremony next month.

RIP to the bride and the other victims of this tragedy.

I am confused as to why 4 got out the the rest did not. It is a CAR with multiple doors. Even with an electrical failure the manual door handles still work. Considering smoke and fumes, people go into a panic mode and then excape via a door is 36" away..... Open the door. Even if the car is moving.... It will be interesting if the CHP offers a follow up telling why they all did not get out. With the driver and 4 survivors, there should be some information available.

What a tragedy!  I believe there were several Filipinas and some survived.

I don't understand how the limo could become completely engulfed so quickly that nobody was able to help get them out.  Most likely the gas tank had to be involved, but even then, gas tanks do not normally blow up like in the movies.  The limo should have fire extinguishers too.

Here is another story with the driver's version of what happened.  If you think about how those limos are set up, it sounds possible.

I'm watching CNN, and somebody driving by took a cell phone video of the car on fire, and the entire rear of the limo was totally engulfed.  They said they were burned so bad that dental records will be needed to positively id each of them.

This video has some stills from the cell phone video, and you can see how bad it was.
