Ruben Scouse Posted November 26, 2013 Posted November 26, 2013 The property laws in SE Asia are so frustrating (well, PI and Thailand in particular). I have decided to purchase property in the UK and rent it out for extra income and will rent when I move as a result. It's a safer bet besides... renting is so cheap in SE Asia. I can purchase 3 x 2 bedroom apartments in the UK for £200,000 (14,156,506 Php). They will generate a maximum gross rental of £19,200 a year (1,359,024 Php). It just frustrates me that in the UK anyone with money can purchase land freehold yet in SE Asia it's a minefield.
