Call me bubba Posted July 7, 2013 Author Posted July 7, 2013 the saturday event was really nice, had many activities for children compared to the past, A 7-9 minute fireworks display was the best I have seen in a long time, maybe next year more members can attend, its more for the family than singles but fun for all is there. I will update the NOMANDS experience on monday
JJReyes Posted July 7, 2013 Posted July 7, 2013 Happy 2nd of July! I believe John Adams wanted Independence Day celebrated on the 2nd, which is the date the declaration was signed. The printer placed 4th of July as the date on the document. So the celebration is on the 4th. The 4th of July was also Independence Day for the Philippines because that was the date with the American flag was lowered and replaced with the Philippine flag at Luneta Park in 1945. Some nationalist group later had it changed to 12th of June.
