Dave Hounddriver Posted August 10, 2013 Posted August 10, 2013 When I fill out the form for getting an extention I always check the "other" box and give being married as the reason for wanting to extend. If I checked the "tourist " box as the reason for wanting the extention would that cause a problem do you think, I wouldn't actually be lying as I do tour around ocassionally to see different parts of the country. One BI official I asked said: If you want a tourist visa you should check the box that says you are here as a tourist. But I am not sure they really care.
Midniterider Posted October 10, 2013 Posted October 10, 2013 You can afford yourself of the "new" 6 month long stay "visa" but I believe that it is only processed though, and therefore at the Manila office. Hopefully this will change or already has changed with the field offices being given permission to accept all sorts of applications now to include the dreaded 13a.
