Quite a rainstorm.  It got to about ankle deep around my apartment in Imus.

I've only given the link as I'm having trouble copying the page.

Baguio has had 355mm or 14 inches of rain in the last 3 days. Similar amounts have fell all across Luzon.

As I have posted in another thread, it is still raining here in Angeles, and has been doing so since last Friday. Many areas of the city are under different amounts of water, many of the roads are not wise to try.

Most businesses, (accept maybe the bars) are closed, including the College that I teach at.

We have been lucky so far, no flooding and no brownouts!!!

(Oh maybe should not have said that!) Now I'll have to make sure all the emergency lights, candles and matches are ready!!!!

I do not wish to make light of the current flooding throughout the Philippines, but I do wish to refer to how resilient and wonderful the Filipino people are! I know this image is not current, as it was during one of the Typhoons in 2012, but I am sure there would be many similar images over the past few days.

Raining hard in Baguio again. According to the weather forecast the rain should taper off in the next 12-24 hours.

No flooding where I live and no electric outages yet.

We have been complaining about all the rain here in Iloilo - but it is nothing compared to Manila!

Here is a notice from LBC about collecting donations for the Red Cross and the Manila area.

I just saw on the Subic Times Facebook page that one half of one of the SCTEX bridges has washed out near Porac. It doesn't say if it is the NB or SB span.

That would really suck if the other span is too damaged to handle 2 way traffic.

Based on this http://www.gmanetwork.com/news/story/322856/news/regions/pampanga-bridge-along-modern-sctex-collapses-amid-heavy-rain

I would say that it is the SB span. Buses are being diverted to Subic via San Fernando.

I am not sure about that. I know you 'old guys' back in the 1960's had a copy of Bill Cosby's LP.

He said something about raining 40 days and 40 nights until the sewers back up!

That would be "Noah". I have it if interested.
