Tatoosh Posted January 11, 2012 Posted January 11, 2012 Very good info there. I am in the process of getting my 13a now. I have probationary 13a that went pretty smoothly. However, I messed up due to various things and did not get my ACR-I card updated after getting the probationary. Time to make the change to permanent and I don't have what I need. The "probationary status ACR-I" is in the works but not in my hand. So I headed down to talk to them in Manila and see if I could get the ACR-I quicker. They couldn't get it out for me until the end of the week but with the help of some very patient and understanding staff, things happened. In a matter of two hours, I went through the process, the Special Investigator allowed me to apply for the amendment to permanent status with just the receipts of application, and I will have the last interview this week, the same day my ACR-I card is supposed to be available. Courtesy of the staff in Immigration, my experience has been very good. I know this is not always the case, but this time those folks were golden!
Art2ro Posted January 11, 2012 Posted January 11, 2012 (edited) Here's a FAQ type website below that may answer a few questions about your immigrant and or non-immigrant visa concerns from the Philippines from a Filipino's stand point and or that of a spouse of a foreigner! http://manila.usemba...v/wwwhniv5.html Edited January 11, 2012 by Art2ro
