Dave Hounddriver Posted September 17, 2013 Posted September 17, 2013 (edited) The dynamics in Philippines is changing so fast that the advice to follow yesterday may not be valid today. The concentration of foreigners throughout Philippines is getting intense. The number looking for girls on the Internet is getting immense. Local girls know that it is no longer hard to get a foreigner. Any young girl between puberty and 29 can snap one up any day of the week. More than one if going on line. That has changed from recent years. What that means is the girls know they can use and abuse the guys and trade them off in a heartbeat if they are not getting what they want from the relationship. The conversations between the girls are way different than the conversations between girl and foreigner (as you might expect). I hear them joking about keeping a guy until someone better comes along and I do see that happen on many occasions. Are there still good girls to be found? Of course. But since we foreigners are far from rare commodities it means you will have to use all your dating skills to find a good one, IMHO. And that applies as much in the rural provinces (where I am now) as it does in the city (where I used to be). So enjoy the ride, but don't get too serious too fast about anyone. Edit: There is a clue in my post that I only just noticed myself. The young girls between puberty and 29 can snap up a foreigner any day of the week. So if someone is seriously looking, don't discount the over 29 year olds. You may get a much better result. earthdome Posted September 17, 2013 Posted September 17, 2013 This thread is an example where the forum helped a new member learn that things may not be what they seem in his online relationship and avoid a potential scam. Good job!

Perhaps depending partly of their own minds - I mean SOME of them - because it's common they count themselves as "to old to marry" already when they are 29. Some even when they are 26 :) It isn't so odd as it sounds, because traditionaly poor marry before 20. It was similar in "kano countries" back when we was at the economical level most Filipins are at now. Local girls know that it is no longer hard to get a foreigner. Any young girl between puberty and 29 can snap one up any day of the week. More than one if going on line. Yes, but much harder to find not rudes ones online, do several of "My spies" report :) Some have even got so frustrated so they gave up datingsites by "everyone" asked and expected them to show nude in webcam when they start communicate by such. It seems common men at datingsites believe SE Asian women are all bar girls! :1 (103):(But that's a good thing with that too =We other men don't need to be so good to be found very good in the comparing :mocking:

Didn't you see some signs you better chose an other family, BEFORE you married your ex :) or are they very different? Of course there are exceptions "black sheeps" in families, but in general traditions in the own family are very important for how people will behave. At least I HOPE it's so, because we have almost no divorces in my family, and I hope I will not damage that statistic
Jollygoodfellow Posted September 17, 2013 Posted September 17, 2013 In fact, we still have never video chatted which to me means she wasn’t the woman in the picture she sent me. Well its a good possibility she was not a woman at all. Don't forget this story, US man seeks annulment after knowing he married a guy CEBU CITY, Philippines - An American has filed for the annulment of his marriage with his Filipino partner after finding out on their wedding night that his bride, in fact, was a man. Gerald Brainard III, of Michigan, USA, met Lou Vincent Suarez on a dating website in April 2006. The two often spent hours talking on the phone and e-mailing each other. They also saw each other through a web camera. Two months later, Brainard flew to the Philippines and tied the knot with Suarez. The marriage ceremonies were conducted on June 27, 2006 before the Cebu City Municipal Trial Court. It was every online dater’s dream come true—until the wedding night. That was when Suarez confessed that he was a man. Suarez allegedly tried to explain himself to Brainard, saying he “feels like a woman inside" and that all his friends and relatives treated him as such. In his court petition, Brainard said that he met the news with “shock and horror." He then filed for the nullification of their marriage, quoting Article 2 of the Family Code, which says that no marriage shall be valid unless all the essential requisites are met. One of the requisites is the “legal capacity of contracting parties who must be a male and a female." The Family Code renders the marriage void if one of the requisites is missing. Marriages “contracted through mistake of one contracting party as to the identity of the other" are also considered void from the very beginning under Article 35 of the Family Code. Brainard told Suarez he could not be married to a man and left the Philippines immediately. He filed his petition through his lawyer, Anna Bojos, yesterday http://www.gmanetwork.com/news/story/99831/news/regions/us-man-seeks-annulment-after-knowing-he-married-a-guy

How in the hell can a man be a woman? There are many physical birth defects in the Philippines which everyone can see. A man thinking he's a woman is a mental defect in my opinion. The news story didn't say how long the gay was in the hospital recovering from the beating he got and deserved. "My sister-in-law on the ex's side" is the sister of my wife's ex-husband. A different and separate family. My wife raised 2 nieces from her sister (from different fathers) and 2 nieces from her brother (from different mothers). Our nephew of age 23 is married with 2 kids and has fathered at least 6 more from different young girls. By the time that he is 50, he likely will have 50 kids. The husband of our niece found out just last year who his mother is. I tried to do a family tree but it is hopeless. It is more like a vine. Do you ever wonder why a lot of Filipinos look alike?

I see. Well. I think they look very different, but now when you mension it, I find many look as some magnats and some local Casanovas. I wonder if all of them asked the girl's parents for permision to court the daughter :mocking: Edited September 18, 2013 by Thomas
