Popular Post OnMyWay Posted September 30, 2013 Popular Post Posted September 30, 2013 I went to the Philhealth office today to make a payment. After I filled out the form and turned it in to the cashier desk, I noticed a sign on the window announcing that the quarterly rate was going from p450 to p500. I paid p1800 for 4 quarters and if I would have seen the sign earlier I would have paid for 5 quarters. If you prepay 2014 before the end of the year you can pay the current p450 quarterly rate. I could still pay for Q4 2014 now but it is not worth the hassle for p50.

Tukaram (Tim) Posted October 1, 2013 Posted October 1, 2013 I know it would be a billing nightmare - but i do wish they mailed out reminders. Mine is due next month too. Guess I should pay a years worth and get it over with... :tiphat:

Guess I should pay a years worth and get it over with... :tiphat: Generally I have received my Sky Cable TV and internet DSL bills before the due date. But not always. I just have to remember to go to their offices and pay around mid month. Convenient that the offices are in the same building. My electric and water bills I just pay to the landlord. My Smart cell bills I receive payment notifications via SMS and by email. Those I just pay online.
JJReyes Posted October 2, 2013 Posted October 2, 2013 The national government policy is to provide universal healthcare. Those who pay Philhealth premiums will be subsidizing the poor who cannot afford it.

Could the same thing happen here...or has it already?
Tukaram (Tim) Posted October 3, 2013 Posted October 3, 2013 In the Philippines i think a government shutdown could only be an improvement! ha ha :tiphat:
Americano Posted October 3, 2013 Posted October 3, 2013 (edited) The Philippines government is always shut down except for when they are putting money in their pockets. Janet Napoles may have helped steal P10 Billion and now investigators are saying that up to P1 Trillion may have been stolen since Arroyo was president. What a wonderful government the Filipino people have. Its amazing the Philippines even has a health program. I'm sure its full of corruption too. My son mentioned his annual premiums have increased by $4,000 for a family of three. That's $4,000 increase for three persons who are young and healthy! wingmanPI Posted October 3, 2013 Posted October 3, 2013 great info. I am assuming you have to be married to a filipina in order to qualify for philhealth? at 2,000 php a year seems like a pretty good deal to me.
