sonjack2847 Posted October 9, 2013 Posted October 9, 2013 Well that`s a bugger isn`t it. I hope nobody tells the BI staff in Dumagguette Negros about the new dress code. The last 3 times I`ve been there I have worn shorts a vest and islanders;flip flops or thongs you might call them.

Call me bubba Posted October 9, 2013 Posted October 9, 2013 (edited) is this news? yes in some ways..... its just now a "newer" policy update as its been stated in past posts/topics the BI not BOI has always had a DRESS CODE. was it enforced evenly? cant speak on other facilities. 2. yes it came from the FACEBOOK page of the BI. yet should one always DEPEND on the reliability of some social media sites? 3. when one is attending to government transactions , one should be appropriately DRESSED, as my/yours appearance . just like ones actions are judged partly on that basis,\ 4. unless one has a medical condition that he/she can only wear FLIP FLOPS proper Footwear should be important and ones appearance just like 1's actions can judge us all . Ruddy_Rooster Posted October 10, 2013 Author Posted October 10, 2013 Just woke up? :) First time I've ever quoted a facebook page on here so a bit much to say I believe everything I read on there. That said, this page has been up a bit too long to be a fake page IMO. Also saw a similar discussion elsewhere where the page wasn't contested. A change in rules is news. I don't see any mention of BOI in this thread either. Enjoy your day Sir.
MikeB Posted October 10, 2013 Posted October 10, 2013 PS - Would be grateful if someone could alter the topic title, it should've read BI, not Bi The software makes the 2nd consecutive letter in the title lower case. Nothing we can do.
MikeB Posted October 10, 2013 Posted October 10, 2013 Why is this NEWS? its been said many many many times both in the FORUM and at the BI not the BOI that they have a "DRESS CODE", its simple. where something thats nice. appropriate and NO FLIP FLOPS>NO SHORT PANTS.. your appearance & attitude before these people,is 1 of the main factors that can determine if you stay here or ? This was "officially" announced on the BI web site which is, unfortunately, down at the moment, as is frequently the case. Effective Oct 1. You can check when the site finally comes up. And according to the chart flip flops are now allowed.
OnMyWay Posted October 10, 2013 Posted October 10, 2013 The old "no shorts" rule was never enforced at BI Sta. Rosa or Olongapo. I saw some really grubby expats at BI Sta. Rosa one time, and I almost told them to go home, take a shower and change! :hystery: I'm going to BI Olongapo sometime before the 18th. I will see if they have a new sign about this. They love their signs there!
