With the new changes to Emigration Clearance Certificate this year, can anyone verify if it can still be done in Cebu?

 

How long will the ECC be valid? Originally back in May I read about it having to be done 3 days before departing, but now I've read stuff that says 10-15 days before your flight. Anyone know how long the ECC is valid for? How many days before your fight to get the ECC?

 

Will there be any paperwork given or will it just be updated on the ACR card chip?

 

Any other helpful information would be appreciated too.

Hi Happytraveller, if you go to the search field at the top of your home page and type in Emigration Clearance Certificate, you will find several pages of information. You may need to select each thread based on the heading, however when I did this I found several threads that were only about this subject, so I think you should find your answer there.

Is the ECC needed for a child traveling on a NON philippine passport?

is it needed when using both foreign passport and Philippine?

Yes, you can get an ECC at Cebu BI . The one at J Centre Mall. Unfortunately you cant get one at the Lapu Lapu satellite office, which only provides basic services.

Don't know about Cebu... but I just got mine last month in Iloilo.  I applied on Thursday and they said come back Monday to pick it up.  I got mine 1 week before my flight - just to give myself time in case there were any issues getting it (there were not).

30 days according to BI .. I asked about it when I was getting my last extension.
