Joey got it backwards me thinks. Should read "burning marijuana leads to high ranking DEA and police." I'm positive those face masks block all the noxious gas.  :hystery:

CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY. Undersecretary Arturo Cacdac Jr. of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency together with the high ranking police officers in Northern Mindanao leads the burning of uprooted dried marijuana at Camp Alagar ground on November 26, 2013. (Joey P. Nacalaban)

Last I checked it was  a weed that grows naturally and was created by God. (just playing devils advocate)  The govt here should be careful in raising the taxes on cigarettes cause if the masses find out they can grow a weed and smoke it for nothing, aint no way no how will you be able to get anyone to actually work, they will be to busy eating.

Wow, I'm really impressed with the city official and senior officers grandstanding to the applauding audience.

It's a perfect photo op and proof to the headquarters in Manila, that they are doing a splendid job -- NOT.

Those 6 barrels are also filled with bamboo and other burning materials, beside damo (grass).  If they are

really doing their job, that should be a daily routine at the end of the day, rather than displaying false pride

and achievements because they consolidated a large quantity and it's time to show off to the VIP's.

Big puckin' deal......I'm sorry guys, my general view of military officers (any flag) is really disrespectful but

when your blood is boiling, you have to bitch, because a bitching sailor is a happy sailor.....he, he.

So they carefully dried it before burning it...I see.  Looking at the picture I note the absence of any leaves--wonder where they went?  Looks like random pruning debris to me--maybe a few leftover stems.
