Jake Posted December 9, 2013 Posted December 9, 2013 Heres a bit about the law but does not answer your question I think. http://www.senate.gov.ph/lisdata/91817724!.pdf Thank you sir ... so they do have a law and it can be enforced .... BUT how do they determine if you are handicapped or not with out some means to show them you are .... I wonder if just walking with a cane would work ... I'm sure someone in a wheel chair would qualify .... but what about those with a heart condition .... maybe a note from your doctor or mum (sic) would be good enough .... very strange that they would make a law but not know if it is being enforced or not as there is no way to prove you are or you are not handicapped ..... interesting .... :cheersty: Don't you know the Philippines is now famous for being the Wheel Chair capital of the world. Just make sure you have your matching neck brace and act the drama of having pity for yourself. Yeah, it's really pitiful......

Las Vegas is confronting a similar problem. A popular practice by overweight men and women is to rent inexpensive scooters meant for the handicapped. Since the casinos and hotels on the Strip are interconnected through elevated pedestrian ways, they could ride around without walking. More important, you don't have to line up for the buffet restaurants! It was meant to promote Las Vegas as a handicap friendly place. I know. I know. Overweight men and women should walk for the exercise rather than ride scooters. They should also keep away from the buffet restaurants.
