Hello,

First of all this is my first post here.... be nice..

Looking to hear experiences with my-shoppingbox, and anything of that type.

I want to ship a used laptop from USA to Manila, via an ebay seller. How long would my shopping box take to send such a thing? I know their prices, from the website. Might be better off going with a service that has no yearly fee however, since this could be a one (or 2) off.

Thank you!

We are allways nice    :)

(Well. Except when someone come to wrong forum (=this) for them, who want to bully and make personal attacks, as is common in several OTHER forums. Such people leave soon...  :)         Don't mix this up with the sometimes LOOKING hard posts between some members here, but it's only rough JOKES between long time FRIENDS.)

Sorry. I can't answer your question though   :)

I have been using my-shoppingbox for about 2 years. Computer items are charged $8.50 per lb instead of $5.99 for air freight. But they also charge by dimensions if that figure is higher. They use a common formula of l x h x w (in inches)/166 and round to the nearest lb. From the time it reaches My-shopping it takes about 3 weeks. If you have to return a defective item, you will probably be the one paying.

There seems to be quite a few who offer this service, maybe check this one http://www.reship.com/default.aspx or a google search comes up with other choices.

I wonder if they would mark the item as a "gift" for me when I need to send stuff from US retailers to England. The tax free import limit at home is £15 retail, or £36 for a gift.

I would use a balikbyan box.  There are a lot of companies in the US that will ship it.

http://www.filoutlet.com/   Here is a company you can ship stuff to and they will ship it to you in a BB box.  I have not used them yet but some guys have recommended them to me.

Johnny Air Cargo took 45 days from New York to Bacolod. Good thing that it was air cargo and not shipped by sea. Would have got it for next Christmas.

I just received my second shipment by My Shopping box, safe n' sound but the kicker is the Dimensions, my "actual" product box was only 1/3 of the stupid HUGE box the seller put the item into (Amazon).

Ended up paying $50 SEA fright for a $44 item with a 3lb weight. In fairness this was not the fault of my-shopping box, but if you use them be careful to check packing dimensions before it reaches their warehouse :(

My Shopping box also do a free subscription promo if you sign up for a Prepaid Gcash Amex (P200) which is also linked to your MSB address for verification purposes if needed by some websites and safe to use so you can save a few $ that way.

however you can pick up serious bargains though on used (and new) laptops dirt cheap in manila if you hunt on TipidPC.com, it would want to be one-hella-deal to warrant overseas shipping which isn't even worthwhile for apple products which are generally the most expensive.

Laptops generally come in a reasonably large box (about the same size as the one I just received) which turned out to be $130 by air !!!

LBC might be the better option to be honest if you are really intent on shipping
