Daydreamer Posted February 18, 2014 Posted February 18, 2014 Hi guys; Wasn't quite sure where to drop this one except for here because it seems like the right place to me. I Just finished planning and throwing a birthday party for my better half's young son last week, when she looked (of all places)on FB and found out that mine was today (exactly one week after her son's). I told her that since I helped plan (pay for)and throw her son's party, that I didn't need one because I was feeling a little partied out (after all the Red Horse and Ginsing Emperador) of the previous week. I come home from the gym and my workout and don't really have the street blocked off like last week, but I do have just about all my neighbors waiting outside with food, cake (thank God it was just one)lots of my favorite comfort food (lumpia and pancit bihon), and watermelon and mango. But instead of being a big grouch and sitting in the corner and fuming, I just soaked up all the well wishes and joined in (moderately)the fun. I mean, shoot the pasta (spaghetti)makes for one helluva a bulking diet and will last me about 4 days (even with her and the kid snacking). I'm just glad that I didn't do or say anything that would've hurt her feelings, because after all she did this out of love and wanted to make sure that I "DID HAVE" a very special day (even if I didn't want to celebrate it). It just goes to show that there's still some good to be had in this world with all of its problems. Next year though, I'm going to make sure she don't sneak up on me with one....think I'll take her to Boracay!!!! :999: :cheersty:   :nudie:
