nigelmac Posted February 24, 2014 Posted February 24, 2014 Hi all, whilst looking at different hotels in Cebu city where I can stay when I arrive initially I found this place which blew me away with its quirkiness and originality. http://www.thehenryhotel.com/ I have decided to spend a week in Cebu city before hiring a car and driving around the island for 2-3 weeks so my questions is do any of you k now of any quirky hotels not necessarily expensive just original and or spots and restaurants that I can visit during my stay for those of you who know of these kind of places elsewhere in the PI I would be welcome for that information too Thanks for your input :)

earthdome Posted February 24, 2014 Posted February 24, 2014 If you get over to Luzon, Vigan has alot of old spanish homes turned into Boutique Hotels. Vigan is about 10-12 hour drive north of Manila on the west coast of Luzon.

Dave Hounddriver Posted February 26, 2014 Posted February 26, 2014 It was fun Googling "The Henry" Looks nice. It is not in my price range but considering it is right at the entrance to the highest priced subdivision in Cebu it is well positioned. That said, there is not a lot to draw a tourist to the area. I wonder if the Gustavian is still open. It was a nice place for food and in the same area as The Henry is. Best of luck wherever you choose to stay.
