2 Sex Slaves Rescued

From the front page of today's paper (unfortunately, no pictures yet):

"TWO alleged sex slaves were rescued inside the rented home of a 71-year-old American national in Barangay Pooc, Talisay City yesterday afternoon.

Operatives of the Talisay City Police Office led by Supt. Reycel Carmelo Dayon rescued Mira, 52, and Jamilla, 28, inside the house of Larry Pendarvis at 5 p.m. yesterday. (Mira and Jamilla are not their real names.)

Relatives of one of the women claimed that Pendarvis would drug the women before having sex with them or abusing them inside his rented house in Rainbow Beach in Barangay Pooc.

But Pendarvis, in a separate interview, denied the allegations. “Absolutely not true (that they are sex slaves). I don’t like slavery. Slavery is immoral,” Pendarvis told reporters.

71 years old! They should have a parade in his honor or a Barrio Fiesta. Send the bill to the American. He can afford it.

 

According to the report a relative knew about the drugging incident, but it was not reported until after the arrest. I could be wrong, but it sounds like a set-up. The guy will have to give everyone involved some money to get the charges dropped.

If he is 71 and has 2 girls I have to wonder who is likely to be demanding sex more.  I mean, I have a hard job keeping up with one.

So the 28 year old freed slave came from Surigao del Norte to Cebu to marry this 71 year old American whom she had never met. Of course she's telling the truth.
