New Military Agreement Between Philippines And Us

Interesting that this was announced just before Obama arrived, and not as one of the results of his visit.  I would guess that Aquino does not want to be directly tied to it in the limelight of the visit?

There was a picture in the article of this Philippines Naval vessel.  Seems to get the same upkeep (none) as many things here.  Literally, a rust bucket.  Very sad.

 

Edit:  Perhaps this is the ship that is permanently there at the shoal, thus the poor condition?

Nawwwww .... that is actual the flag ship of the Philippine Admiralty ......  :hystery:  :hystery:  ..... only kidding that is indeed the ship run aground at the shoal .... there are only 8 Philippine Marines I believe stationed on it .... not sure just what they will do if the sh*t hits the fan cause it's a long swim back to the Phils ....  :rolleyes:
