Pettersson Posted May 14, 2014 Posted May 14, 2014 Yes, It happened at the same Hospital.......When my 2 girls were born, They put wrong name on birth certificate of one of them,,,,And wrong date of birth on the other.,,,They wouldn't put my name on the certificate as father because I wasn't there at the time,,,They put father unknown,,,,,I had a hell of a game getting it all changed I wonder if it is actually a common practice to put father unknown if the birth is out of wedlock and the father is not present? And would the US Embassy have an issue with that when applying for US citizenship for the baby as long as the embassy DNA test confirms the paternity?

I don't know if it's different in hospitals, but back when Sweden bothered about if the parents were married or just living together, the CHURCH registrations told father (if not unknown) and added "Bastard" if born outside marriage. The only exception I have seen, when I have made researches, is when the village priest had put that section empty. Perhaps he didn't dare to write "Bastard" at a bastard child to the Count :mocking: when he had made a maid pregnant. Everyone knew it anyway, even the Swedish king knew the grandchild was grandchild to that Count  ((In difference from many other aristocrats, that family took good care of the bastard children too somehow. In this case they gave a small farm to a horse driver in their iron manufactory/farm company, I suppouse as reward when he married the maid and took care of the bastard child. That's how my bastard line started :) 200 years ago.))
Americano Posted May 15, 2014 Posted May 15, 2014 My sister inlaw had a baby 2 months ago, The babies head popped out and the nurse pushed it back inside because the doctor hadnt arrived :bash: Pushing a baby's head back in during birth and taping up an infants mouth are just ignorant people doing stupid things. Those people are not intelligent enough to be in the medical field. Collect garbage would be a more suiting job for their intelligence.

At least partly it isn't about stupidity, a four year old surely understand it's wrong to cover a mouth of a baby with tape, it's ruthlessness... :bash: Similar to the Filipina mother, who spanked over and over again her small child because it cried!!! They are not good enough to collect garbage as that has to be sorted into different categories.I was at cebu maternity for the birth of my daughter and would not recommend it at all the level of medical care is non existent/bordering on criminal negligence.
MikeB Posted May 15, 2014 Posted May 15, 2014 You cannot take everything you read in the paper as gospel truth, they'll publish anything that sells. The 3 nurses involved say they used medical tape to hold a pacifier in place, not to tape the mouth shut to prevent crying; that was incorrectly communicated to the mother. The investigation cannot proceed further because the father refuses to file a complaint. The family is talking to the media and writing about it on Facebook but won't take the necessary steps to find out what happened. Yesterday's front page story was about 2 businesses, a pharmacy and a "wellness center" that refused to give 20% senior discounts to a couple of seniors. Complaints were filed and the newspapers published the names and addresses of the erring businesses. Turns out the discounts were disallowed by the pharmacy because the prescription was filled out incorrectly and, in the case of the wellness center, they are not legally required to give senior discounts. The businesses explained this to both parties but they went ahead and filed complaints anyway. Both have been dropped. The city attorney was quoted as saying that seniors need to be more aware of the policy. So should he before taking the complaints and releasing it to the media.

I find this all too often where neighbors would rather tsismis (gossip) than make an official complaint to PNP or to the barangay captain. While we were living in Cavite City with our young kids, the word got around that Judy and I were undercover agents for NarCom (narcotics command). Judy was a member of the press (a DJ at a local FM station) and I was her driver, a dollar speaking bodyguard. We had fun with that, they left us alone.......

So we seniors don't get 20 % discount when we buy houses?? :) While we were living in Cavite City with our young kids, the word got around that Judy and I were undercover agents for NarCom (narcotics command). "The 3 nurses involved say they used medical tape to hold a pacifier in place, not to tape the mouth shut to prevent crying; that was incorrectly communicated to the mother." Sounds like a good defense but the picture shows clear tape over the baby's mouth and cheeks but no pacifier in his mouth. I will believe the picture before I believe someone trying to cover their rear end. Maybe the father is refusing to file charges because it cost money to retain a lawyer, to file charges, and to attend all of the hearings. And, maybe he knows it would be years before a decision is made by the court. And, don't forget they just had a baby so paying their medical bills will have to come before paying for a court case. If News Reporters were more competent at their jobs then we would have more details to base our opinions on. Why didn't the reporter say why the father is refusing to file charges? All the reporter has to do is ask him. Incompetence is my guess.
robert k Posted May 16, 2014 Posted May 16, 2014 I would be severly unhappy if they taped a pacifier in the baby's mouth, that would be obstructing the only airway if the baby's nose got plugged up, he couldn't spit the pacifier out.
